Convergence Gallery takes great pride in representing the extraordinary art of third-generation New Mexican Angus Macpherson, renowned for his stunningly beautiful paintings of atmosphere in the high desert. These paintings celebrate the dance of light and shadow, calm and turmoil, immutability and change--the unfolding enigma posed by sky and land.

As Macpherson has continued to refine his cloud-painting, another series has evolved--a series of playful figures flying through the clouds, sometimes flying over the city of Santa Fe, sometimes over an imagined, otherwordly place. These paintings join his magical crescent moon paintings, his "language" paintings, and his "shell hat" paintings to make for a lively range of subjects.
